Sunday Club Night: a feature concert every week (apart from some holiday weekends) 7.30 pm. Floorspot performers often invited from local musicians in the first half. Cafe and bar open. Usually door sales only. See notes on each night for featured performers or events.
Thursday Open Mic Night: a warm welcome to all, 7.30 pm. Gold coin entry. Cafe open.

John Meddings, Lindsey Shields & the Shields Boys
This will be a bit of a mix and match night, when the cool finger pickin’ of John Meddings combined with the jazzy-ish songs of Lindsey Shields could get a bit muddled up with the indefinable vibe of the Shields family (otherwise known as Mum & Sons).
Guitarist John Meddings is a stalwart of the Dunedin music scene, well known around town and throughout the south. Most often seen with his long standing band Bare Essentials, he also appears in various duos and combinations and is a much sought-after session musician.
Eugene and Max Shields grew up surrounded by musical instruments. Now and then, they even picked them up! Both became involved in music at school, particularly during their time at Mt Aspiring College where Lindsey was teaching and establishing the music department. Eugene and Max played in various cover bands during their time in Wanaka and after they moved to Dunedin to study. Both are songwriters and have played together in the band "Horatio" performing Max's original songs. Eugene is Head of Music at Otago Girls' High School. Max does something geeky on computers which may or may not be musical.
Lindsey has made TV and radio appearances as well as being a guest at folk festivals and clubs in NZ and overseas. She’s best known in the folk world but also loves to perform songs from the jazz repertoire and other genres. She sang with the Dunedin City Jazz Orchestra during the Calder Prescott era. Lindsey has been a member of several local bands and has produced two solo albums of her original songs.
