Keira Wallace and Emmy Wells

Double bill! We are delighted to feature two terrific young singer songwriters.

Ōtepoti singer/songwriter Keira Wallace unearths expansive yet intimate pockets of connection through their increasingly folk influenced sound. Keira’s sixth single ‘Leap/Landing’ was released in July and followed by their first North Island show at The Wine Cellar with support from Calla. With consistent success in nation-wide competitions such as Smokefree Rockquest, Keira had the inconceivable opportunity to open for musical inspiration Mount Eerie’s Ōtepoti show of his New Zealand tour. The intricacy of humans and the parallels in the natural world around us are woven into each song and hold space for the beautiful, innate rawness that resides in us all.

Emmy Wells is a local musician originally from Invercargill now living in Dunedin. You may have seen her perform at local Dunedin open mic nights. Her influences are vocalists such as Florence Welsh (Florence and the machine) Eva Cassidy and Beth Gibbons (Portishead). Her originals take on a vulnerable soulful feel with bouts of power. Classically trained she is able to control her voice to express different emotions capturing the essence of her songs.
