As we have changed seasons, so has the Bowling Club started up again. A reminder to all that DFC members are welcome to come to the club and give bowling a try – as long as the rain stays away!

Also with the change of seasons we enter Festival Season with the last ever Cardrona just passed and there was also WellyFest and Ronel’s Folk Camp is coming up in November. Now we look towards our own Whare Flat festival which runs over New Year. Everything is being put in place for a great festival – watch out for regular notices on social media or check out the website https://www.whareflat.org.nz for full details. Early Bird tickets are on sale now and during November. The Festival is also looking for volunteers to help with the running of things – if you think you’d like to help out in some way please email the volunteer co-ordinator on volunteer.wfff@gmail.com.

There are still some amazing Club concerts coming up before we close for a few weeks over summer, ending with our Christmas Party on Sunday Dec 11^th which will be a night of fun, food, drink and music – full details will be on our website and in the weekly e-newletter.

One last thing to mention is to make members aware that, if you have an amazing idea for a fun themed night that you’d like to organise – just let us know and we can talk about available dates and formats etc. We have recently got members organising a night of their favourite people and songs for everyone to enjoy
