We were all deeply saddened by the recent passing of our loyal member Terisha Hubbard. We will all miss her smiling face and enthusiasm shown at the club performances and for life in general. A good number of Folk Club members were present along with Terisha & Marvin’s friends and family at a service to celebrate her life and it was wonderful to listen to the memories shared and see the support that Marvin has around him.

As ratified at the AGM, we have now completed the process of formally changing our club name to Dunedin Folk Club Inc (formerly New Edinburgh Folk Club). This coincides with the launch of our new website which is being kept up to date with our news and current events.

After many years, the committee has made the decision to increase our membership fees. So, next time your renewal comes around you will be asked to pay the new price. If you are not sure if your membership is current, please ask at the door on your next visit or email the club at info@nefc.org.nz. Memberships can now be renewed (or new members can join) directly through our website.

Don’t forget to buy your tickets for our Eric Bogle concert on Sunday 16^th October. This is a ticketed event and there will be no door sales that night. Tickets are available on Under The Radar.

Many of our concert nights have floor spots making up the first half before the guest artist. If you would like to play a couple of tunes or songs on a Sunday night please let a committee member know or send us an email and this will be passed to the duty committee members for those nights.
